Winter Squirrel Glance

The highlight along the face and ear gave this shot shape. Without that edge light, the squirrel blends into the background and loses presence. I like this frame because it feels alert without feeling frantic. It sits in the middle of motion and stillness, which is usually where good wildlife portraits live.
